Colton Hess from Big Cabin, OK is the son of Lawnie and Amy Hess.  He won the Sr. Boys All-Around this season and also last season netting him two $1000 scholarships, both thanks to Roberts Auto in Pryor who has been a sponsor for three years now.  Colton competes in saddle bronc, bull riding, tie down roping, team roping, and we have even seen him take a turn around the barrels & poles.  Colton is not only a good cowboy, he sets a good example for all of us who know him.


Callie Newman from Afton, OK is the daughter of Pam Bullard.  Callie won the Sr. Girls All-Around scholarship of $1000 thanks to Big Cabin Service Center in Big Cabin.  Callie showed us just how "all around" she is by competing in the trail class, barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and breakaway roping.  Callie is a serious competitor in the arena, and her smile lights up when you catch up with her to talk about her run. 


Wacey Heflin from Bluejacket, OK is the daughter of Brian Heflin.  She received the Sr. Reserve All-Around award this season.  This isn't an award given most years.  But, Wacey's competitive spirit throughout the 2009 season could not be overlooked.  She competed in the trail class, barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, and team roping.  She is the recipient of a $500 scholarship award thanks to a sponsorship from P&K Equipment in Pryor, OK. 


Rocky Cox is a Locust Grove, OK cowboy and is the son of Mike & Sharon Cox.  Rocky accumulated the most points in the Jr. Division and competed in almost every event at some point throughout the summer. And, as you can see from his armload of trophies, he won most of them.  Rocky now holds the title of Jr.
All-Around for the 2009 Big Cabin Youth Rodeo season.  Rocky first came to us as a student at our Bareback & Saddlebronc school in April.  Then, we watched Rocky progress all summer and he's a tough competitor.
